Lauren is a criminal justice and public safety reporter at the Las Cruces Sun-News, a part of the USA Today network. She studied fine arts as a merit scholar at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and earned a BA from the School of Media, Film, & Journalism at the University of Denver. She worked as a reporter at the Fredericksburg Standard-Radio Post, where she won first place for news photos in the South Texas Press Association Better Newspaper Contest in 2023.
She freelances art reviews and critiques for magazines and journals, including D Magazine, Glasstire, and DARIA Magazine. Her work also appeared in Hill Country Art Guide and Rock & Vine.
